Based in Georgia, USA, FGD Glass Solutions has more than 30 years of experience in architectural glass manufacturing and fabrication. The company provides both high-volume and highly customized glass products for hospitality, commercial and manufacturing applications. Its product range includes tempered, laminated, printed, etched, decorative and other specialty glass.
To support its production requirements, FGD selected Techwin for three 2500 mm glass washing machines.
The machines are used in two different production processes:

Two Techwin 2500 mm horizontal washing machines are installed before FGD’s tempering equipment.
At this stage, reliable cleaning is important because the glass surface must be properly prepared before entering the tempering process.
The machines provide continuous cleaning and drying as part of the automated production flow.

The third machine is a 2500 mm vertical glass washing machine, installed in FGD’s insulating-glass production line.
The vertical configuration provides a different solution for the customer’s IG production requirements while maintaining consistent glass cleaning before the next stage of processing.
FGD produces much more than standard architectural glass. Its current product portfolio includes decorative, laminated, printed, etched, back-painted, mirror and other specialty glass products, alongside architectural glass systems.
This makes washing equipment an important part of several production processes.
Techwin’s three machines allow FGD to use the appropriate washing technology for different production lines:
Tempering → Horizontal Washing
IG Production → Vertical Washing
The FGD project demonstrates Techwin’s ability to support different production processes within the same glass factory.
