Project Overview

 

Strugal’s Moroccan operation is part of the wider Struglass group in Spain, serving the architectural glass market in North Africa.

To support its large-format glass processing, Strugal selected Techwin for a 3000 mm jumbo vertical glass washing machine, integrated directly with a SkillGlass vertical CNC system.

The machine is designed to process glass up to 5000 × 3000 mm, providing a complete washing solution for large-format architectural glass.

The washing machine is configured with:

  • Three pairs of washing brushes
  • Two pairs of air knives
  • PLC control system
  • Touch-screen operation
  • Frequency inverters
  • Automatic communication with the CNC

The configuration provides reliable cleaning and drying while maintaining stable processing of large-format glass.

Intelligent CNC Communication

The Washer Knows What the CNC Is Processing

 

One of the key features of this project is the communication between the Techwin washing machine and the SkillGlass CNC.

The CNC can send glass thickness and processing-speed signals to the washing machine.

The washing machine can then automatically adjust its operating parameters according to the production requirements.

This reduces manual input and creates a smoother automated workflow:

SkillGlass CNC → Processing Information → Techwin Washer → Automatic Parameter Adjustment

Energy-Efficient Operation

 

The washing machine is equipped with frequency inverters to control the motors according to actual production requirements.

When full power is not required, the operating frequency can be reduced, helping to lower energy consumption during production.

This is particularly valuable for continuous glass-processing operations where washing equipment operates for long production hours.
