Project Overview

Previously, the customer relied on CNC machines for straight-edge glass processing. While CNC machines provide flexibility, the process was relatively time-consuming and required more manual handling.

Techwin supplied a complete automated line combining glass loading, automatic positioning, double edging and washing.

Techwin’s Solution

Automatic Glass Loading & Positioning

The loading system will pick the glass from the racks automatically. Glass sheet is scanned before entering the double edger. The system automatically identifies the glass dimensions and adjusts the machine according to the actual size with industrial computer. This eliminates repeated manual adjustments and significantly reduces setup time when processing different glass sizes.

High-Speed Double Edging

The double edger processes both parallel edges simultaneously, with a maximum glass size of 2500 × 2000 mm and a line speed of up to 15 m/min.

The rough-grinding spindles are equipped with servo motors, providing precise control and stable processing performance. Rest mode for motors to saver energy when no glass comes.

High standard glass washing

The washing machine is for max. 2000mm glass in width. It’s with double sets of pre washing system. Equipped with three pairs of brushes, soft brush enables to machine to process different coated glass like Low-E glass. Blower inverter equipped to save power for at least 30%.
