Yushihu specializes in the mass production of fish tanks and aquarium products for the Chinese market.
As its sales volume grew rapidly, the company was producing more than 3,000 fish tanks per day. The customer previously purchased processed glass from external glass-processing factories.
With increasing demand, this created challenges in controlling delivery schedules, edge quality and processing costs.
Yushihu therefore decided to bring glass processing in-house and invested in a Techwin double edging and washing line.

The Challengne
For aquarium glass, edge quality is particularly important. The edges remain visible after assembly, so they need to be smooth, polished and visually consistent.
The customer needed to:
Techwin supplied a double edging line designed for glass up to 1600 × 1600 mm.
Both parallel edges are processed simultaneously, providing a much more efficient solution for high-volume production compared with processing individual edges separately.
Because the customer’s aquarium glass is produced in relatively standardized sizes, an automatic measuring table was not required.
After the first edging process, a 90° turning table changes the glass direction to fit the customer’s space.
This creates a continuous workflow while reducing manual glass handling.
After edging, the glass enters the washing machine for cleaning and drying.
This allows the customer to complete the main glass-processing steps within its own factory.
