Complete Double Edging Line for Higher Efficiency

The customer is an experienced Spanish architectural glass processor. Before working with Techwin, they mainly used CNC machines for glass edge processing, which limited production efficiency.

To improve productivity, Techwin supplied a complete double edging line including an automatic loader, positioning table, double edger and glass washing machine.

Techwin’s Solution

 

The line is designed for glass up to 2500 × 2000 mm, with a working speed of 15 m/min.

 

Key features include:

  • Automatic loading system
  • Positioning table with glass scanning
  • Automatic adjustment according to glass size
  • Servo-driven rough grinding spindles
  • Double edging for both sides simultaneously
  • Integrated glass washing

The scanning system identifies the glass size before processing, allowing the machine to automatically adjust its working position. This significantly reduces setup time when processing different glass sizes.

The double edger can also accommodate greater diagonal tolerance, reducing problems caused by imperfectly cut glass.

By replacing CNC-based edge processing with a high-speed double edging line, the customer achieved approximately:
