High-Throughput Double Edging for Industrial Glass Production
TECHWIN high-speed glass double edgers are designed for manufacturers that require continuous edging, stable processing accuracy and higher production throughput.
By processing two parallel edges simultaneously, a double edger can reduce repeated glass handling and provide a more continuous production process than conventional single-edge processing.
Designed for Continuous Production
A high-speed double edging line may include:
Glass Loading → Measuring / Scanning → First Double Edger → Turning → Second Double Edger → Washing → Unloading
The exact configuration depends on the glass dimensions and production requirements.

Processing Speed
TECHWIN double edging lines can be configured for different production speeds.
One architectural-glass project was designed for a maximum speed of approximately 15 m/min for glass up to 2500 × 2000 mm.
A jumbo project was designed for glass up to 6000 × 3000 mm and an edging speed of up to 20 m/min.
Servo-Controlled Grinding
Servo motors can provide precise movement and automatic adjustment of the grinding system.
This can help compensate for wheel wear and maintain more stable processing conditions during production.

Automatic Glass Scanning
For factories processing multiple glass sizes, automatic scanning can identify the actual glass dimensions.
The information can then be transferred to the machine control system for automatic positioning.
This reduces manual measurement and setup.
High-Speed Edging for Different Glass Types
TECHWIN double edgers can be configured for:
- Architectural glass
- Low-E glass
- Shower glass
- Appliance glass
- Solar glass
- Laminated glass
- Jumbo glass
The spindle and grinding configuration is selected according to the required edge processing.
Automation for High-Volume Production
A high-speed double edger can be integrated with:
- Automatic loading
- Glass scanning
- Turning tables
- Corner grinding
- Drilling
- Washing
- Automatic unloading
- Production-line control systems
This allows the machine to become part of a complete automated production process.

What Determines the Right Edger Speed?
Production speed should be considered together with:
- Glass dimensions
- Glass thickness
- Edge removal
- Grinding requirements
- Number of spindles
- Glass type
- Required edge quality
- Downstream process
The fastest machine is not necessarily the most suitable machine for every application.
